Certain times of the year you can see the dark shape of an emu among the stars of the milky way. During wintertime, when you can see the shape of it’s neck and head, you know that emus are ready to start laying their eggs. When you see the large dark patch of its entire body, you know it’s time for the chicks to hatch.
